HK’s Purest Snout/ Environmental Protection Department
The largest air quality monitoring station of the Hong Kong Environmental Protection Department is located at the southern tip (Cape D’ Aguilar) of the Hong Kong Island. Facing the South China Sea surrounded by open air, the Supersite is mandated to gather minute-by-minute air quality data vital to the Hong Kong Observatory’s weather reports. Its sloping roof is designed to blend in with the hilly terrain while serving as a platform for photovoltaics panels.
